A Hunterdon Fall favorite returns this October 2-24 when the Haunted Red Mill takes over the Red Mill Museum Village at 56 Main Street in Clinton. The annual Halloween tradition will take place Friday and Saturday nights starting at 7:00 p.m. The historic museum grounds come alive with this year’s “Lurking in the Shadows” experience, leading visitors through winding trails, eerie mazes, unexpected scares and a haunted hayride along the river. Families looking for a gentler Halloween experience can visit its Happy Haunts on Saturday mornings.

The Flemington area continues to celebrate the spooky season on October weekends at Schaefer Farms, where the Farm of Horrors transforms more than 200 acres into a full Halloween event. Visitors can climb aboard the Hayride of Horror, then continue through the Trail of Terror, MassAcre Maize and CarNevil of Chaos for an experience packed with scares.

Hunterdon's Pumpkin Train Rolls Through Peak Foliage Country
Few fall traditions capture Hunterdon County quite like the Pumpkin Train. Each autumn, the Black River & Western Railroad welcomes families aboard its historic coaches at Flemington Station on Stangl Road, where a vintage diesel-electric locomotive carries them through the countryside to Everitt Farms at Pumpkin Junction in Ringoes.
